Since we delivered Moonshine Empire last year, we have been working on FORTIFY: a backyard Water Balloon Battle!  (Basically a tabletop version of Bomberman + Tetris + Splatoon)

The Kickstarter Launch for FORTIFY was yesterday, and it just hit its funding goal in UNDER 24hrs!!  Early Bird Discounts are still available but end TODAY!

After having so much fun with Moonshine Empire over the past 2 years, we are super excited to share with you our next game that will be headed to Kickstarter next month!

FORTIFY, the second game from Barrel Aged Games will transport you back to your youth for a backyard water balloon fight.  Two players will compete to build the biggest FORT (in real-time), in an attempt to recruit the most friends.  These friends will either help you FORTIFY your position or start tossing water balloons over the backyard fence at your competition! 

We just got back from San Diego Comic Con along with GenCon 2022 where we got to show the game and toss some water balloon dice with tons of people!  The reactions from both shows were incredible, people love FORTIFY and after only a few short rounds people were laughing, talking trash, and landing water balloons on their opponents like they were kids again!!

First and foremost we want to begin by thanking everyone who helped make this dream of starting a board gaming company and launching fun and different games a reality.  There was no way a game like Moonshine Empire would have been made by the big publishers which means without you this could have never been a reality.  While it has been a long journey since the campaign closed we are happy to officially announce that all of the games are either delivered or are in the mail (sorry for the delays UK). We have had the chance to meet and play with many of you and look forward to doing this more in the future.  While this will mark the completion of the campaign we will still monitor the comments and messages in case anyone has any lingering questions as their games start to make it to the table. 

If you love the game and want to share it with others we have copies available on our website for purchase.  Barrel Aged Games Website  We think the gift of gaming is the best way to tell a friend or family member you care about them, what better option than Moonshine Empire.

The time has finally come and people will begin playing and hopefully falling in love with Moonshine Empire.  We created this game as a way to bring together a fun theme with tons of strategy that you can play in about 90 mins.  In order to make your first experience as smooth as possible we have created a new video and included a link to our FAQ.  Because we distilled a lot of strategy into this game, (see what we did there!?), we wanted to provide you a few options to help you learn the game easily.  The best part of Moonshine Empire is after your first playthrough it is extremely easy to remember the rules as they are so entrenched in the theme and it is also extremely easy to teach to your friends in subsequent play throughs.

Closing in on the Finishline... and GenCon!

Hey there fellow Shiners, great news!  We will have a booth at GenCon 2021!! (More details below on what we will be bringing to the show!)  But first and most important is an update on when you folks will be receiving your games!

Thank you all so much for your patience as we work to get these games out to everyone. Below is the latest update from Quartermaster Logistics on the games.  Copies of Moonshine Empire have been DELIVERED in Australia and New Zealand!  All US and Canada copies have cleared customs and should arrive at the fulfillment warehouse for shipping ASAP!  The UK and EU are taking significantly longer than expected... everything was planned to arrive in Europe before the regulations changed but due to the difficulty securing a ship, they were delayed past that point and we had to start over on paperwork and booking passage.

Full Details

United States, Canada & RotW from QML

•  Fulfillment Timeline/Status: The second shipment has been cleared in JAX and is ready to schedule for delivery. We anticipate this should happen early this week and we will have the shipment in house within the next few days. We anticipate starting to ship games out the week of 09/06/2021, and we will keep you posted when the fulfillment date is more firm - it is still depending on when the shipment actually arrives and is checked in for the queue.

United Kingdom and European Union from SMF

•  Fulfillment Timeline/Status: Shipment is still awaiting departure from China as we wade through the delays and low capacity there. Fulfillment should commence within 2 weeks of receipt of the goods at the SMF warehouse.

Australia/New Zealand from Aetherworks

•  Fulfillment Timeline/Status: Completed.

Asia from VFI

•  Fulfillment Timeline/Status: Waiting on confirmation that remaining hubs are being shipped by the end of the month from VFI.  The CN/HK, TW, JP, and SG orders are confirmed shipped from VFI.

WE HAVE A BOOTH AT GENCON!!!

This whole journey started with very early prototype of Moonshine Empire at Gencon 2018 and now we are returning 3 years later with a completed game in hand.  We are so excited to show off, promote, and demo Moonshine Empire for everyone at the show!  We will be at Booth #2712 (Barrel Aged Games), please stop by and and say howdy!

Besides the booth we are planning to bring our GIANT copy of Moonshine Empire which among other things, helps a lot with social distancing ;-)  Please come by and help us celebrate the launch of this wonderful game.
